The Triple Chrome Process
Often, we’re asked “Can you just dip this in chrome?“, however, the process chrome plating is much more involved.
Every single item for custom chrome that comes through our doors is reviewed individually to plan the plating process. We strip each item down to the bare metal, at which point it is cut, ground, and polished to remove most imperfections and pitting. At that point we heavy plate it with copper, after which we sand and buff the copper until we achieve a mirror surface free of imperfections. Finally, we then nickel plate and chrome the item to achieve the final chrome finish. Utilizing this time-tested process producing a show quality product that will withstand the test of time.
There are simply no shortcuts to a quality job well done.
